If you’re wondering, “Can I get my ex girlfriend back?” then the breakup probably wasn’t so "final" that you think the relationship can’t be saved. You’ll have to hope she feels the same way. If she feels that there was not full closure on the breakup, then you might be in with a chance - everybody looks for closure. If you were the cause of any hurt during the split that you should apologize for, now’s the time to say you’re sorry. But, you must be sincere about your apology. You must truly try to understand the grief you have caused. A hollow, self-serving and insincere apology will not advance the ball in your favor. It may help you make up, but it wont help you stay together So, say you're sorry - It's a good first step. Will showing my sensitive side help me get my ex back? First of all, there are no guarantees you’ll get back together, but the odds tilt more and more in your favor when you do the right things. Show her how much you miss her, and how sorry you are. Just pay attention to her reactions. If your displays of remorse only make her angry — she throws away the flowers you sent or something equally dramatic, for example — adjust your tactics until you find a gesture she responds more positively to. If she finds flowers or cards frustrating, is it because it’s too convenient or predictable to pick up the phone and order flowers or buy a card containing a sentiment that someone else wrote? Put yourself in her shoes and try to figure out something more appealing. Buy a blank card and write your own verse in it. It doesn’t have to rhyme, in fact it’s better if it doesn’t. Let the words come from your heart. Or pick out the flowers yourself and present her with a bouquet from the heart. One of the most common gripes we hear from women is that men aren’t thoughtful and that they lack imagination. Were there times during your relationship when you felt that you were being toughtful and the response you got back from her was positive? Think back to those times. What did you do? And, more importantly, how did you do them? Were they done in a spirit of selflessness and devotion? What was the sentiment behind these acts? Did I let my imaginative side out? Now you might be wondering, can I get my ex girlfriend back by being thoughtful or imaginative? Not necessarily, but it’s one good step toward your goal of getting her back. Every positive thought and gesture accumulates, making it easier and easier for her to come back to you. You have to tap into those things that worked in the past, understand why they worked and have the same mindset for the thoughtful things you do now and in the future. Don’t expect things to happen right away, though. If you rarely did thoughtful things for her while you were together, or you did them only in the beginning, she’ll probably be wary of the things you do now. Just be patient, and keep up your efforts. Don’t appear frustrated or angry. Have no expectation that you'll get immediate results from all of your actions. Instead, do the thoughtful things because they feel good and because they make her happy, not because you’re working toward a goal.
Will dating other women help me to get my ex girlfriend back? If it’s been a while since the breakup, and you’re still working on getting her back and being thoughtful, a casual date can be harmless and may make her think twice about what she could be losing for good. But, go too far and it could backfire. Most importantly, if you're trying to be a thoughtful guy, using another woman to bait your ex will not set a good precedent for future efforts at being the thoughtful and sincere man that every woman wants. What if she has a boyfriend, can I get my ex back then? The odds are stacked against it, but if you can demonstrate that she’ll be happier with you than the new boyfriend you’ll have a good chance. Again, being thoughtful and sincere will go a long way toward showing her that. Even if it seems hopeless, don’t give up. If it looks as though she’s moved on, send her a card you wrote just wishing her peace and happiness. But avoid looking as though you have any expectations. Your sincerity and thoughtfulness might really impress her. One other thing my friend, the points made above, are only just one step in the total equation of getting your true love back. The most important thing is to have a step by step plan that will guide you in your heartfelt pursuit.
